On Saturday, April 11th at 7pm, join us at FIA for "Dancing in The Streets: Thresholds,” a free, all-ages, one-hour public performance featuring lyricist Mama Sōl, tap dancer Shanzell Page, Creative Expressions Dance Studio, Alpha Esquires, Kuungana African Drum and Dance, Double Dragon Tang Soo Do, and students from UM-Flint’s Fine and Performing Arts Department. Guided by Flint-based storyteller Roshonda “Shani” Womack, we will dance our way through the FIA, exploring Flint's role in the emotional, spiritual and social evolution of Mama Sōl the artist, and celebrating our own connection to the city.
This is a free, all-ages event. Space is very limited.
Presented by UM-Flint, FIA Museum + Art School, and Magic Wheel Creative with support from the Mellon Foundation and UofM Arts Initiative.
