In honor of Women’s History Month and celebration of International Women’s Day, Director and Curator of Collections and Exhibitions Sarah Kohn and Executive Director Tracee Glab will reflect on works in the Making Her Mark exhibition and discuss the unique challenges that women faced in the early to mid-20th century in the field of clay. By looking at a few case studies, they will touch on the reasons why women have historically been excluded, how changes took place, and the state of contemporary ceramics.
