This course will cover the basics of how the glazes we use are designed and made. Students will first learn safe handling of the chemicals and the organization of the lab. Students will then use the gram scale to weigh out a recipe picked from handouts; mix and apply on a tile and fire at cone 6. Students will then re-make the same glaze, but will alter it to achieve a new color.
